Our standard insurance is included in every move. Our basic policy is that if we break it we will repair or replace it. This policy covers obvious damage that is a result of moving items. Where we draw the line is with things like electronics. For example, if the screen of your Tv were to be damaged during your move we would replace it. However, if at the other end of the move your Tv appears to be in the same condition, but after the move someone says they plugged it in and it doesn’t work. We will hold no responsibility for that situation.

We take the greatest care with all your belongings. In general we do not insure things made out of particleboard, like IKEA that are often not engineered or constructed to be transported or disassembled after they’ve been set up initially. You will find that virtually every moving company has the same policies.

Walls, Floors, Ceilings and Doorways:
We take the utmost care during your move. Our core responsible is to stay mindful of all aspects of our moving process. Sometimes in order to fit things like oversized couches through hallways and doors it may be necessary to scuff walls. In advance we will take all precautions to avoid such incidents, such as wrapping your furniture with pads and removing the feet if possible. However we have had many experiences were we found it is impossible to avoid these scuffs if our clients needed to remove items. The common rule of thumb is that if it fit into a house it should fit out, but it can be a natural outcome of older furniture to expand while in the home. This is a natural property of wood in certain conditions, temperatures and moisture levels. We want to do everything we can to help you.
